The resulting hybrid inherits a balanced blend of characteristics from both parents, offering energizing mental stimulation alongside deep physical relaxation. Citrus Thunder typically produces dense, resin-coated buds with citrus, earthy, and spicy notes, while THC levels often range between 20% and 25%. Its combination of potency, flavor, and well-rounded effects makes it appealing to growers and consumers seeking both uplifting and calming qualities in a single strain.
Citrus Thunder is a moderately easy-to-grow feminized cannabis strain that thrives in warm, sunny, Mediterranean-like climates with temperatures ranging between 21–29°C (70–85°F). Thanks to its Jack Herer heritage, the plant exhibits vigorous growth and strong vertical development, making it well-suited for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Indoor growers can expect plants to reach heights of approximately 90–140 cm (3–4.5 ft), while outdoor plants may grow much larger, reaching 150–220 cm (5–7 ft) under favorable conditions.
To maximize productivity, growers are encouraged to use training techniques such as topping, Low-Stress Training (LST), or Screen of Green (ScrOG) to control height and improve light penetration throughout the canopy. Regular pruning and canopy maintenance are also beneficial, as Gorilla Glue genetics contribute to dense branching and heavy bud formation. Proper airflow and humidity management are especially important during flowering to reduce the risk of mold and mildew developing within the thick, resinous flowers.
Citrus Thunder has a flowering period of approximately 8–10 weeks and is typically ready for outdoor harvest in late September to early October. Under optimal indoor conditions, growers can achieve yields of around 450–550 grams per square meter, while outdoor plants are capable of producing 550–700 grams per plant. As flowering progresses, the highly resinous buds may become heavy enough to require staking or branch support, helping ensure healthy development and maximizing both yield and flower quality at harvest.
