If like many of us, you love marijuana and food, you will love us for putting out this article of mouth-watering and easy-to-make cannabis recipes. Cannabis-infused meals, drinks, and other edibles have taken the country by storm ever since some states have decriminalized the weed. You may be one of the many who have tried it all – cannabis joints, oils, pens, etc – but there is just something special when dabbling with culinary cannabis. Whether you are looking for entrees, main courses, desserts, or drinks, we got one for you. These recipes are not only delicious, but they are full of beneficial THC and CBD compounds.
Before we jump right on to the recipes, however, we just need to point out a few important things when cooking with cannabis.
Importance of the decarboxylation process
First, you have to understand the need to heat – or decarboxylate – your buds before consumption. Decarboxylation is the chemical process that converts the major phytocannabinoids in cannabis (THC and CBD, particularly) into active and potent compounds for these chemicals to be able to influence the neurotransmitters in our bodies. Skipping this crucial process will mean that you are left with a product that is neither potent nor has any medicinal and recreational properties. Incidentally, when you fail to decarboxylate your weed, you also risk exposing your risk to botulism caused by a certain bacteria that can easily grow on certain edibles, like cannabis-infused butter and oil.
Decarboxylating your buds simply means subjecting them to temperatures within the 200 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit range over some time. It is as simple and straightforward as that. All you need is an oven, a baking tray, parchment paper, and your favorite batch of cannabis flowers. Bake dried cannabis for 40 minutes and fresh weed for a little over 90 minutes to complete the decarboxylation process. Make sure not to go over the recommended temperatures as any higher could ruin and damage your herbs. Additionally, higher temperatures will also destroy the terpenes in the plant, resulting in a foul odor and unpleasant taste.

In the same way, more cannabis recipes will also continue to be created – with each one better than the next.
